These are; water temperature, precipitation, fog, lighting, air temperature, tides and currents, wind speed and wind direction.

Strength and direction of wind will affect your entire paddling process. Think of the strength of wind and on its direction. This will help you minimize chances of accidents occurring during entire process. Do not go out for paddleboarding in case winds are extremely strong for you. Considering direction in which wind moves is beneficial.

Any normal person will feel unsafe and uncomfortable while going out for paddleboarding when it is raining cuts and dogs. Under such condition, your body and clothes are likely to become extremely wet. Handling the paddle will be challenging in case, hands are wet. Fog, precipitation and lightening tend to have negative impact on visibility of an individual.

Tides and currents will really distract you especially if they are moving in varying directions. They may make you to apply a lot of force without a good reason. You may not be able to navigate past an area, which is rocky during low tide. Check the nature of tides and currents before you commence paddling.
